Shrewsbury BID Town Centre Clean-Up

This spring we were proud to work with Shrewsbury BID on a month-long project to refresh the town centre. Our team focused on removing graffiti, stickers, grime and litter, as well as tidying key pedestrian and cycle routes around the town. Street furniture such as bus stops, bins, lamp posts and post boxes also received special attention, along with alleyways that had been overlooked in recent years.

The project was part of Shrewsbury BID’s wider initiative to make the town centre look its best, creating a more attractive and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and businesses. As BID explained, “Street cleanliness consistently comes up as a high priority for our members, so we are happy to provide funding for these cleaning sessions… The objective is to clean and improve as many areas as possible, contributing to a welcoming and attractive environment for residents, visitors, and businesses.”

Over the course of the month, our team worked during quieter footfall days in February and March to minimise disruption and ensure the town was refreshed in time for the new season. From graffiti removal to deep cleaning alleyways, the difference has been noticeable, helping to encourage community pride and set a higher standard for public spaces.

We’re delighted to have played a role in this project, supporting BID’s ongoing efforts to keep Shrewsbury vibrant and welcoming.
