Our Story
Vortex Cleaning was founded with determination, hard work, and a passion for doing things differently. At only 18 years old, after spotting a gap in the market, our Director Ashley purchased his first van and equipment to begin cleaning wheelie bins. From that moment, Vortex Cleaning was born. Over the years, Ashley expanded the business by taking on the jobs other companies didn’t want—deep cleans, void properties, and end-of-tenancy work, building relationships and a reputation for going the extra mile.
As demand grew, new services were introduced: window cleaning using the emerging pure-water pole technology, professional carpet cleaning, pressure washing, and more. Additional vans were purchased, the first employee was hired, apprentices were taken on, an office team was formed, and eventually Vortex moved into its own dedicated unit. Along the way, we supported charitable events, partnered with the NHS, appeared on DIY SOS, and steadily expanded our fleet and workforce. Today, with more than 15 full and part-time staff and over eight vehicles, Vortex Cleaning continues to grow, built on the same principles it started with: hard work, trust, and exceptional service.

Every job is assessed individually, with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work carried out as required. Our team regularly reviews procedures, updates training, and ensures all equipment is inspected and fit for purpose. From high-level work with MEWPs to biohazard cleaning in sensitive environments, we follow strict protocols to ensure every task is completed safely, responsibly, and in full compliance with industry regulations
