Project Overview
Bacarel, a supplier of dehydrated goods to the food processing industry, asked us to conduct a specialist high-level clean of their warehouse. Although the facility is already maintained to a high standard, Bacarel wanted to take precautionary measures to ensure all high-level areas were kept clean and compliant with food-grade hygiene standards. The focus was on internal racking, cladding, and elevated surfaces that are difficult to access during routine cleaning, where dust and cobwebs can accumulate over time. The project formed part of an annual maintenance programme to maintain a consistently clean and safe environment for stored food products.
Our Scope of Works
Our work involved a detailed high-level clean to remove dust, cobwebs, and other debris from elevated surfaces, including:
- High-level vacuuming of warehouse racking, ledges, and overhead beams
- Dusting internal cladding and other elevated surfaces to maintain food-grade cleanliness
- Ensuring all hard-to-reach areas were thoroughly cleaned to prevent dust accumulation
- Conducting works safely within the warehouse environment, without affecting daily operations
This proactive approach ensured that the warehouse remained in excellent condition and that all high-level areas were addressed as part of the company’s food safety and hygiene protocols.
Project Outcome
The high-level areas of the warehouse were thoroughly cleaned, with all dust and cobwebs removed from racking and internal cladding. The project provided Bacarel with confidence that the warehouse meets rigorous food-grade standards throughout, not just at floor level.
Following the clean, we provided a detailed report documenting all areas cleaned and the methods used, allowing Bacarel to demonstrate to auditors that the high-level sections had been fully maintained. By completing this annual high-level clean, the facility remains safer, cleaner, and better prepared for inspections, while staff can continue working in a well-maintained environment.
